Reminded to be so grateful to have this bubble of reprieve… to recalibrate & recharge within nature. More than ever city dwellers need our versions of this to sustain our sanity & strength to thrive & not just survive.
Round Swamp (EH) at 11 am today: as crowded as I've ever seen it. When we left, the line was out into the parking lot and, inside, the line did a loop in and out of what used to be the frozen food room.
It was a team effort. My job is to hold; my wife chooses. Quite a big haul as we have family coming. We usually would have gone earlier but we had tennis the morning. So we did not feel sorry for ourselves one bit.
Never been to the hamptons and I loved this. Feels like part juicy gossip part news part fictional summer beach read
Dream reader!
I relate to the "fictional beach read" comment. From my lobster-roll-less condo in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, this seems like a strange alternate world.
They have good lobster rolls in Brooklyn! All the NY lobster comes from Maine anyway.
Yes, but, unless I acquired a new wardrobe, I wouldn't be able to stroll in premium linen and a coveted sun-hat to pick up my Brooklyn lobster-roll.

Thank you, Estelle!
So sad about Calvin’s gorgeous house being redone!
It should have been a museum!

You’re a brave man to go on a Friday! What was your haul?

My husband is also a Holder and I am a Chooser. All great marriages...
